Question
I'm on my second depo shot, I'm almost done with it in September. I never had my period until now. I started my period august 6 and I still have it. I recently started taking cephalexin and I read taking antibiotic Can interfere with BC or depo. is it possible for me to be pregnant if i took the  antibiotic the day before having sex ?

Answer
Hi Christine,

Thanks for your question. If you are still bleeding, you might want to consider a checkup. You could get anemia or other problems. And yes, certain medications can interfere with birth control. I don't recommend hormonal birth control as a rule. I find there are side effects and risks from birth control methods.

If you email me at CHERYL51@aol.com I can look up the cephalexin and the reaction.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
