Birth Control Pills/missed pills

Question
My 21 year old daughter has been on Sprintec for about a year for irregular periods. Her doctor gave her no instructions and was wondering what she should do if she forgot a pill. How should she take them if this happens?

Answer
I am not a doctor. In ideal circumstances, she should contact her doctor about this. I would recommend taking 2 pills when she forgot one. Is it too late to do this? Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so we can talk more. I would recommend that she find another birth control method if she needs one because the birth control pills are a hormonal birth control method and this could have side effects and risks.
