Birth Control Pills/Pill and Bloating

Question
Hi. I have been taking Yasmin (Ocella) for years.  I got off of them last June as I am going thru a divorce.  Since then I have lost 18 pounds and have had irregular bleeding.  A couple months ago my bleeding lasted a month (doc says weight loss and stress)! So doctor advised me to go back on the pill.  Since then I've been extremely bloated and my appetite is huge!  Ive been on for about 2 weeks and want to get off now due to these symptoms. My concern is I have an event next weekend and can really use without having my period! Here are some details that may help....
I started the pack about a week and a half after the bleeding stopped.  I am now on day 13 of the pill.  If i stop what are the chances I'll get my period...and when?  And if I stop how soon will the bloating subside?  And If I do stay on what can I do about the bloating temporary?  Any advice will help!
Thanks So Much

Answer
Hi Francine,

I can't really tell you what will happen. Some women start bleeding when they go off the pill. Others don't have the same symptoms. Every woman is different. I don't usually recommend the birth control pill or any other kind of hormonal birth control method. I advise against hormones because of health risks and other problems.  So let me know what happens. Sorry I cannot predict what will happen with you. You can email me privately at CHERYL51@aol.com and let me know what the outcome is. Good luck!
