stopped taking loestrin 24 fe five weeks ago and still no period. The last period I had was at Christmas. after that cycle stopped I took three more pills and then no more. Now I have not had my period since, but I had cramps last week like I was about to start but never did. I wake up every morning constipated, but later in the day the constipation goes away. What is going on? Could i be having side effects from the pill still 5 weeks later. My doctor prescribed me Loestrin 24 fe because I had quit taking the depo shot (only had that once) and I was having my period every two weeks. So the Loestrin was suppose to regulate me, and it did. but when I quit taking it I havent had a period since.

Do you feel that you might be pregnant? If so, you can get a free pregnancy test at a local pregnancy resource center. To find a center in your area, go to this website http://www.optionline.org
Also, in my opinion, you could have irregular periods or no period because of the hormonal change from the stopping of birth control pills. Or from the stoppage of the depo shot if that has been recent. You can consult your doctor about this if you would like. Let me know what happens. You can email me privately at CHERYL51@aol.com
