I am nearing the end of my Sprint contract for my BlackBerry 8830. Is there any way I can continue to use the BlackBerry if I decide to change providers? I haven't yet chosen a new provider, as being able to continue with this device will weigh heavily into that decision.
Thanks!
Answer If you can find another CDMA carrier who will flash your BlackBerry, then you can use it with another carrier. If they can't flash it, then you won't be able to use it. If you switch to AT&T or T-Mobile, the device will not work regardless. If you switch to MetroPCS, they may be able to flash it. It just depends on the new carrier. If it is very important that you use the BlackBerry with the new carrier, just choose one willing to flash it that uses the CDMA network. If possible, you may want to consider sticking with Sprint, if you really want to use the BlackBerry you have. I hope this helps. thanks. DebiN
