Question
hey could you tell me what setback or challenge mark hoppus has faced

Answer
Well Mark hasn't had the easiest life, so I'll make it clear and simple (list form) for you Devon. Here are some unfortunate events in the life of Mark Hoppus...
- He moved from Ridgecrest CA to Washington DC back to San Diego, and in case you didn't know, moving ain't easy
- His parents divorced and it has been rumored (I Don't Know if this is true but his parents DID get divorced)that his stepdad was abusive (listen to the song Go)
- When he was 20, and DeLonge was 17, Marks sister Anne was friends with Tom and went to the skate park to impress Tom so he could be in a band with him. He climbed up on a lamppost, jumped off, broke both of his ankles and was off his feet for 3 weeks.
- In 2005 Mark faced the break up of his band that he helped form with his then best friend Tom DeLonge. Tom took control over blink and was now guiding everything and decided everything, and eventually he just quit the band.
- With the break up of blink 182, Hoppus started +44, but he also sold his share of the Atticus and Macbeth clothing/footwear companies (respectively) that he co-owned with DeLonge. He now supports current bandmate in +44 Travis Barker and his Famous Stars and Straps clothing company.

That's about it for now, and hopefully I won't have to add to this list and Mark will continue making great music.
Thanks
Doug
