do you know what happend between mark and tom backstage on the late night with conan'obrein show in like 2001 or 2002. because when they played they both hade black eyes and tom didnt seem to want to talk about it when the host brought it up.

Hi Steve,
 Wow I've never seen this video before. It seems like it was mark and Tom in a fight by looking at the way they don't even make eye contact throughout the whole thing, and then at the end where Tom immediately starts talking to the host and Mark talks to Travis.
 Then again it could just be some weird joke thing. Travis is wearing a weird wig and maybe the black eyes were making fun of someone who got beaten up by their wife or something...
 I think that this was around the time that Tom would have been thinking about Boxcar Racer and so it could be something to do with that because I think they had a bit of a falling out about it.
 I wouldn't have thought that it was to do with anyone else beating the, up or anything as security would have been way too tight around them for that to happen.
 One thing that makes me think that it was maybe a joke more than a real fight is the fact that Tom seems to have dried blood coming from his nose at the end. This is the sort of thing that would have been removed during make-up for the show and I doubt that they wouldn't have been able to cover up their bruises any better to be honest.
