Question My fiancee was doing some research for me, about a month ago: and found out I still have stocks with the Chrysler Corporation. I had inquired and bought some stocks years ago; but after being in the military and being over-seas I have lost contact with alot of things and I was wondering if it would be possible to recieve some information on this? I am planning to relocate and it would be helpful.
thank you, Tom
Answer Tom,
I recommend that you take in the statement or the certificate to a local broker dealer. They clear this up without charge to you. They can find out through the transfer agent and then clear up the mystery. With the certificates or the statement in the broker dealer hands, then you will not loose the information again. Broker dealers carry insurance for the loss of certificates, and if certificates are gone missing too long, you might have to pay for a bond and this can get expensive.
