Question
I absolutely love Bobby Blue Bland. Is there another soulful blues vocalist that you can recommend? I'm turned off by too much reliance on guitar; I like a natural set of pipes.
Oh Bland is one of my favs as well.. Lion if the blues :)
I take it u want ..soulful , vocal mellow blues..I really don't know any other singer who is even close to bland for bland has this very unique style and vocals but check those..

*Brook Benton, major influences on Bobby Bland
Junior Wells is a hell of a vocalist but still he is straight blues.. guitars , harp..instruments.
Irma Thomas R&B-Boogie-Blues
*Otis Redding, not blues but almost.

Shuggie Otis, another soulful bluesy flav.
