Question
can you direct me to the lyrics of this song?  partial chorus:  when i was a little biddy baby, my mama would rock me in my cradle in those old, cotton fields back home. When those cotton boles get rotten, you can't pick very much cotton---

thanks

Answer
sorry for the late reply for some reason I didnt receive a notificaion for this question.

I Believe this song was written by the folk blues master Leadbelly and here are the lyrics

When I was a little bitty baby my momma would rock me in the cradle
In them old cotton fields back home
It was down in Louisiana, just about a mile from Texarkana
In them old cotton fields back home
And when them cotton balls get rotten, you can't pick very much cotton
In them old cotton fields back home
It was down in Louisiana, just about a mile from Texarkana
In them old cotton fields back home
It might sound a little bit funny, but you don't make very much money
In them old cotton fields back home
It was down in Louisiana, just about a mile from Texarkana
In them old cotton fields back home...

and by the way one funny mistake in this song is Texarkana
NOT a Mile from Louisiana , its about 30 miles from Louisiana.

Thank you.
