Question
I heard from a friend something about Damon Albarn being in a new group whose band members are composed of all animated characters.  This is supposedly a really cool group whose song lyrics go something like "I'm happy, I'm feeling glad, like sunshine in a bag.."  Also, he mentioned something about gorillas.. I am confused.. is there such a band and if so how do I get to download the music/video.. help!
Thanks for your time/help..!

Answer
Dear Somer,

Your friend is indeed speaking the truth about our dear Damon. He has a side project called 'Gorillaz' and it involves him, Dan the Automator, Kid Koala, Del La Funkee and a young Japanese girl. They do infact appear in animation form, and the animation is done by animator Jamie Hewlett, a former flat mate of Damon's and creator of 'Tank-Girl"

They all go under aliases and Damon is known as 2-D. The music is certainly very different from what you'd hear from blur and it has a very hip-hop feel to it but is very good all the same.

The lyrics you quoted are infact true and belong to a very good and becoming increasingly popular song intitled 'Clint Eastwood', it's Damon who sings them in fact.

You can discover and find all you need about Gorillaz at www.gorillaz.com

Thanks for your question. Should you have any further please do not hestitate to contact me again.
