AnswerOff the top of my head;
They come from all over the place, but mainly Essex. Damon was born in Leytonstone, East London, and Graham on an army base in Germany. They met in school and then formed Seymour via Goldsmiths college in South East London.
The last Blur album was called 'Think Tank'.
The sexy bassist is called Alex James, and he's just released a book about his time in Blur.
Blur started in the early 90's, as did Oasis, although it took a few more years for Oasis to make it big. The first Oasis album was released in the same year as Blur's third.
Don't know about the guitar on Think Tank, I know that Graham was involved, but you'd have to check the liner notes or Wiki for more information.
Graham left after Think Tank was released, so about 2003.
The line you quoted is the first line from 'For Tommorow', from their second LP 'Modern Life is Rubbish'. It's track number one, and was also a single.
The record companies and the media pitted the singles 'Roll With It' and 'Country House' against each other, and a one-sided rivallry was started. Country House beat Roll With It to the number one spot, and Blur played the song on Top Of The Pops. Previously, Blur had claimed on stage, in front of millions, at the Brit Awards, that one of their awards should have been won by Oasis. Oasis couldn't return the courtesy.
Blur have released six original albums, one live album, one compilation of b-sides, one remix album, one best of album, and a singles boxed set.
