Question Hello, I have an original copy of Bo's self-titled 1962 LP, Checker 2984, maroon label. I just recently noticed on one side the label has "BO" written with black marker but the most interesting thing is that it is written underneath the silver printing, so if it was signed, it was signed before the song titles were printed. Ever seen this before? Are they all like this? Thanks for any info.

Answer Hi Jason,
Thanks for your question.
I am not aware of other copies of the "Bo Diddley" album that bear a similar "Bo" marking like the one that you describe. I think it is unlikely to be Bo Diddley's own signature, as he usually signed using his full name "Bo Diddley", but is perhaps more likely to be that of someone working at the label printers or the pressing plant, perhaps to denote the start or the finish of a run of printings/pressings for that particular album.
I hope the above info is helpful to you. Many thanks for getting in touch.
