Board Games/Regarding Seegah or Sigah

Question
Heyo, I am looking for the game or instructions to a game that was produced in the late 70's or early 80's.  It was called Seegah or Sigah.  It was a 'surrounding' strategy game that was base on an ancient middle eastern game.  This pasteboard and plastic version was played with 49 squares and 48 pieces (24 jugs and 24 tels).  I am wanting to recreate it with wood and stone (probably was originally played in the sand with stones or date pits) for living history events.  Can ye help me?  Thanks Jessie

Hey Jessie!

Well, I believe the game you seek is called "Seejeh" (you were so close!).   I was able to find rules, pics and a forum about it at the following link:   http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/16665

All the best with your construction of the game!

I can assist with answering "what is the name of...?" or locating instructions or playing pieces for most board games (not video games). This can be a frustrating search for people, let me assist you. I thoroughly enjoy researching this stuff!

Experience

I have over 1000 board games and have been collecting and playing them since a very young age.
