QuestionQUESTION: Hello- I have been searching the Internet and can not find any info on a game I bought at a garage sale. It is from 1956 by Production and Marketing Company. It is called Troque another exciting Scrabble product. I really want to play the game, but when I got it home I see that it does not have any directions with it. Do you know where I can find out how to play? Also, any idea what it is worth? Thanks!!
ANSWER: This game was later renamed Troke Castle Checkers. We have the rules for the 1961 edition of the game by Selchow & Righter in our Game Rules Index.

QUESTION: Thank you so much!!!! Since I have the Troque version which they stopped making, so you have any idea of what it might be worth? If not, no problem, as I am thrilled to have the directions! Laura
AnswerThe value is truly in the beholder. Games are not usually like antiques in they go up in value as they age. The value of games generally is a roller coaster ride. The first 7-10 years they drop like a rock. The next 15-30 years they rise as people want to reenjoy the game again in their adult life. The values tend to drop again as the age of the people "re-enjoying" them again are saving for older age. Once it gets up near 80 years old does it begin to develop antique value.
The value is in the person who is really holding the game at the time. It is usually the memories they value more than the game. The game merely heightens those already strong memories for the person.
