John Wooden board game
I found a pegboard basketball game in a thrift store and am wondering how rare this might be and if it holds any value. I have looked for it on the internet, but could find nothing about it. Hope you can help.

Answer
Hey Jeff,

Sorry for the delay... holidays always get crazy :).

I did some research, and I can't seem to find anything about the game either. Nothing on board game geek and nothing on the internet. It tells me that the item is somewhat rare. The problem is whether or not Coach Wooden actually permitted his likeness to be used. If he stated that the use of his image was authorized, you may have a decent collector's piece for folks who are fans of the Coach... but if it was an unauthorized use, the item probably isn't going to be too exciting.

The only advice I can give would be to contact http://www.coachwooden.com/ and send them a message. They may be able to give you more information on the piece.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Expertise

My expertise is fairly broad on board games. I've been collecting board games since I was old enough to count and have over 700 games in my still growing collection. I spend my spare time playing and teaching games, including doing demonstrations at stores. I don't have much experience with wargames, but when it comes to American games and/or most Eurogames, I can offer advice of the concepts in a game, and what kinds of audiences it might appeal to.

Experience

I've been an avid board game player and collector for over 20 years. I own more then 700 board games personally, and spend a significant amount of time both teaching and playing these games.
