Board Games/troque

Question
Greetings,

I am looking for an original wooden troque game (1950's). It seems fairly easy to find the plastic set from the 1960's, but I recall (fondly!) how much I enjoyed my game with the little wooden pieces when I was a little girl.

Can you help direct me?

Thanks so much,

Cindy

Answer
Hello Cindy,

I tried to find some of these games at some of the wooden dealers I've seen on the net and no one makes this game.  I do have suggestion for you though.  There is a nice looking board for troke on ebay and I think it is wooden but with plastic playing pieces.  You could take a series of dowel rods and make the three different sized playing pieces pretty easily.  Honestly it would probably look pretty neat as well, not to say anything of heirloom quality.

Expertise

I can answer most questions about tabletop and commercial card games. I am NOT a good source for wargame or eurogames information. My favorite questions are what game is this? Where can I find this game or game rules?

Experience

I have been board game collector/seller since 1993. I am also one of the top ten sources for games and related materials on the internet.
