Board Games/looking for the name of an old board game

Question
My dad used to have a game that I played once or twice but unfortunately it was lost over the years. Could you please try to help me identify it. As I was young I might not have the best description but bare with me. The board was a map and had little holes in it to drop bombs. There was a yellow plane attached above the map that moved above it in a circular motion. there was a target like scope to look though and you had a button to push to drop yellow gumdrop shaped "bombs" when they were over the holes. This game must have been at least 40 years old at this point.

Answer
Wow, you sent quite a challenge here.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anything about the game from what you've given me. I went up to BoardGameGeek and looked at every action/dexterity game published from about 1950 until 1985 and couldn't find anything that fits the description. This means one of a few different things... either BGG doesn't know about the game which is possible... the game is on the Geek but not filed as an action/dexterity, which is also possible, especially for a game of such age, or the title of the game is so radically different that it didn't catch my eye AND the Geek was missing a picture.

If you could give me any additional information about it... were you bombing boats in the water versus buildings on land... was the game in English, or perhaps another language? Anything else might help.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help... but for what it's worth, you've got my attention. I'm going to keep looking around to see if I can find it, only because these kinds of 'hunts' for knowledge are things I find fun. #Plus, if it hadn't been for this question, I might not have ever discovered that a company in 1967 published an action/dexterity game named 'Orgy'. Don't ask. :#)

If I find anything more, I'll be sure to let you know.

Cheers,
Dante

Expertise

My expertise is fairly broad on board games. I've been collecting board games since I was old enough to count and have over 700 games in my still growing collection. I spend my spare time playing and teaching games, including doing demonstrations at stores. I don't have much experience with wargames, but when it comes to American games and/or most Eurogames, I can offer advice of the concepts in a game, and what kinds of audiences it might appeal to.

Experience

I've been an avid board game player and collector for over 20 years. I own more then 700 board games personally, and spend a significant amount of time both teaching and playing these games.
