Boat Repair/Solenoid

Question
I purchased a solenoid from West Marine, for my windlass on my sailboat. It's a Cole Hersee solenoid. Would you know the wireing diagram. Cole Hersee has not responded to my email.
Thanks;
Nick

Answer
It depends on the solenoid. Her is a general overview. The two large terminals are power in, from battery, and power out, to the device. If there are two small terminals one is a ground and the other power in to activate the solenoid, like from a hey switch or toggle switch etc. If only one small terminal the base of the solenoid is grounded and the terminal the same activating power in.
