Question
Sir I habve a 1100 hp merc [100hp] mid 60.s it stoped pumping water for 5 mins till I noticed steam motor turns over but have I hurt it and can I fit a hydrulic tilt to it

Answer
You may have hurt the motor. You will need to have a compression and leak down test done to see if the rings or pistons are not operating properly. If the tests are OK, put a new water pump on the lower unit and see how it runs.
There is not an easy, inexpensive way to retrofit trim on that motor.
