Question
I'm not getting any fire from my coils.its a classic 50 mercury about a 1986 i think.i wouldn't think all four would have went bad at the same time.what could cause it not to get fire.thank you very much.

Answer
make sure the ign switch is not the problem..on the power pack take off the black with yellow stripe from the pack. this is the kill wire...the ign parts are as follows...flywheel, sensor coils, charge coils, power pack, ign coil, spark plug..and ign switch...there is a mercury switch on the side of the frount housing, it has the same colored wire on it..it cutts the ign off if the engine tilts up due to hitting something...check that also..
