3.0 Merc Cruiser - Water is pouring in around the drive shaft area.  I cannot figure out where this water could be coming from. No traces of oil in the water at all.  I am working on the boat out of the water w/water hose attached.

have you had the drive off,  maybe the water tube oring came off.  with the boat on land and running it, check the water hose that connects to the transom assy to the thermostat...if water only comes in when in the water then the u-joint bellows has a hole in it..
