Question
Jeff I hope you can help me with this problem. I have an Omc  4.3 cobra that I have To change The lower Shift cable I have The Manual but it is not very clear I have searched the Web but have not found any thing that is too clear I have the New type cable to install and need some knowledge to install it I also have the tools that some articles call for any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks for your help

Answer
Jim it is a job way beyond my being able to tell you on this site. The factory OMC Cobra service manual is pretty clear. You might want to call some dealers or some Johnson/Evinrude dealers and see if you can "borrow" a book for a day or so. You may also be able to find it on e-bay if a new copy can't be found.
If you have a specific question I will try to help. If none of it makes sense you may want to have a professional do the job for you. I would also recommend replacing the bellows at the same time.
