Boat Repair/1989 Bayliner

Question
My 1989 bayliner ran out of hydrolic fluid I filled it up and then we went out on the lake and then docked it and then my motor will not go back down.  What can be wrong.

Answer
James you didn't post what kind of engine, make, year, etc. so I will just guess.
If you have an inboard outboard then you could either have an external leak from the trim hoses on the outside of the boat, the connector under the drive or the hoses inside the boat. The trim rams may also be leaking from the seals. If there is no evidence of leaking fluid then an internal leak in a check valve would be most likely.
Basically the same with an outboard. For further help please post back with the engine information and more details such as is the fluid low or leaking? Does the trim motor appear to run?
