Question
what I believe is the oil buzzer is coming on as soon as I turn the key on, and stays on when I start motor,I thought mabe the oil float, but I didnt thank, that would sound the alarm unless the motor was started? any info where to state appreciated, thanks and cheers.

Answer
The oil float should give you a beeping sound. You probably have one of two problems. Either you have a problem in the wiring from the sensors or a bad module or your oil pump is bad.
Usually it is the second problem. DO NOT try and run the engine with the alarm on, you can ruin the engine in a heartbeat, if the oil pump is bad.
What usually happens is either the pump goes bad and "freezes up" or the oil gear on the crankshaft goes bad. In either case the engine will have to come apart and the oil gear and possibly the pump replaced. Not simple or cheap.
If you want to remove the oil pump and oil injection system Mercury does make a special block off plate. DO NOT just make a plate. You must use the Mercury kit as it has a shaft to go into the engine and hold the oil shaft gear bushing in place when the gear is removed.
Any questions please post back.
