Question
Every year the high speed jets stop up and i have to have them cleaned , which is very expensive, i have used stabil and crank the motor every 3 months and this still happens. I cranked it today and it ran o.k. then stopped up.What can i do to stop this and is there any way to unstop them my self

Answer
Tim, while stabilizers are needed they, as you have found out, don't totally protect from gum formation. Make sure you use a good filter and it is clean. After use look for the small drain screws on the bottom of the carb's float bowl. Take them out and let the fuel drain into some paper towels. Dispose of them properly. This way there will be no fuel in the bowls to turn to gum and varnish.
