Boat Repair/No spark

Question
I have a 1989 24 ft cuddy cabin. was running great at the end of boat season last year. Started getting ready for this year and tried to start and will not start. No spark. I am tring to find the proper test procedures for the dist pick up and the ign module.  It has the thunderbolt ign module that is mounted on the left exaust riser, and the dist pick up is the one with the brass nuts holding the wires on, not the bullett wires.  I tried a known good coil and that didnt help ....

Answer
what size engine???  first of all make sure the kill or deadman switch is ok and the ign switch is not the problem.. Next on the manifold, where the shift cable from the controls connect to the lower cable. there is a morco switch on it to kill the engine when shifting..make sure the problem is not there.. there should be easy to move the lower cable..maybe the lower cable is bad causing the switch to engage..
