Question
Hi Experts,

I just purchased a RIB with a 2004 Yamaha 15 SS powering it, on her maiden voyage a couple of times it slipped out of gear on deceleration the clunk back in gear and your away again.

Any ideas?

Dean

Answer
Hi Dean,

sounds like the gear is worn. Did you check the motor out before you brought it. If not the gear worn, then it's probably dirt build up which means the moving parts slip. Get under the hood and give the motor an over haul. This will clear up the gear slip problem and any others that are in the pipe line.

Cheers
