Question
Wish I had found this site before I pulled the flywheel.  The stator or trigger under there sure has alot of play.  There is no voltage to the switch box when cranking it over.  I broke a magnet can it be epoxyed.  thank you

Answer
Hi Andy,

by play, do you mean it's not responsive when you pull it? If there is no voltage, then your problem arises from the battery. if it has not been charged for a while then it wont hold any power.

You need to look at all the connections run to / from the battery first. Look for corrosion or signs of wear.

Next you need to re spool the flywheel. This involves taking the lid off   and un threading the line. Checking for wear and tear as you go. Disable the spring. Then reload the line, remembering to put one anticlockwise turn on  at the beginning. Reload the spring and keep tension going until the flywheel line is fully wound back.

Replace the magnet.

Best of luck

Chris
