Question
i bought a 9.9 that was just rebuilt. thats what i was told i haven't tryed starting it because the pull rope is so tight cant see my self spinning it fast anouf to start it it does pull but extremely sticky i have it in the start position any advise would be great

Answer
Hi Brian,

you need to remove the bolts attaching the recoil assembly and gently lift it off.

Pull the starter cord all the way out and see why it's so tight. It maybe that the spring that recoils the cord is very strong - hence difficult to pull. Change the spring to a weaker one to save your arms.

Let me know how you get on.
