mercruiser power trim tilt pump. ? Drive will lower but can not trim up using switch no sound from the motor when using up switch. But when I use the trailer button the drive goes up without a problem. Disconnected the switch from the control box tried jumping it from that part of the wire. Red to green goes down, red to purple nothing. So at this point I know it not the control switch were should I go from here to try and solve the problem before changing items that are not the cause. sounds like the trim limit switch has gone bad....back at the engine, there are two sets of wires coming thru the transom, one set on eacdh side.  1 is for the trim gaugew the other is for the limit switch...find the one for the limit switch and connect the two together then try it....
