Question
I have an 89 sea ray with a 100hp merc o/b. The tilt trim solenoids click and have power leaving them(I check them with a multimeter)but the motor does nothing.I have read so much on the net. I have read that some systems have a low oil level safety,is this true? I am going to try applying 12vdc directly to the motor. Is there anything else i can try? and if I do need a motor how do i know which one to get? It is square and has a merc. # on it that I can not find anything on. The # is 99659a45. My eng. S/N is C172160

Answer

the solinoids should have 12 volts to the big side of the relay...when activated if it does then the motor is bad....email me at docksidemarine12#aol.com
or btmn1020@aol.com

and I will return a pic and price for it..check the wires coming out the tilt motor. I think that one is a 3 wire system
