Question
I have got the motor to run at an idle but everytime I try to throttle up, it completely falls on it's face.  I can start in at full throttle position and sometimes it runs, but there is no in between.  I have started with new gas/oil mix at 5o to 1.  I have been through at least 4 new sets of plugs, and all cylinders shoot bright blue spark, they seem to be fuel soaked and it smokes a lot.  I have cleaned the carbs, they seem to be fully functioning (clean needle valves) and checked float levels. I am out of ideas.  Any suggestions?

Answer
could be too much piston to cylinder wall clearance.....worn out...might need to be rebuilt....even with good compression...have to have correct clearance for it to suck the fuel thru the carbs efenciently...when you cleaned the carbs di you clean all jets and passages...???
