Question
I have "84 16' Bayliner Capri Bowrider with Volvo AQ125 4C Penta inboard motor. It does have some dryrot under hull decking.Engine runs great for age, yet biggest frustration is finding/fixing leak that comes in under engine which appears to come in around outdrive mount seal(not sure correct name), but where mount is on stern, that I've fixed in past with marine silicone and fiberglass caulking where visible cracks in seam, but now when sealed again, I thought fixed, yet still leaks.???Ugh .. When put in water, took on about 1 gal over 15 minutes, very gradually. Can feel water enter in inside below motor on back wall ?? When pulled boat out, a lot of water comes out lower corrugated rubber bellows, but don't know if this is normal??

What are possibilities of leak here Everett and approximate costs to fix??. Any help appreciated. Not pulling weight at family reunions !! Frustrated boater !!

Answer
you should see two bellows from outside the boat....top one is a u-joint bellows...don't want water comiong from there...the other is a exhast bellows....the bottom can be ripped and be ok... but the top one has to be replaced....your transom could be rotten also and let it leak....
