Question
I have problems starting my 1988 Evinrude 200 hp motor. After it starts,it will start fine the rest of the day.I've had the powerpack replaced.I confess I haven't winterized it properly in the past.Is there a fuel system cleaner I could used like chevron/techron,for autos? Could I use this in my outboard?I haven't used fuel stabilizer in the winter for the past 2 years.Just wondering if I might have an oriface clogged.Thank you for your time.

Answer
sounds like the choke circuit is clogged...it may have a enrichment valve on the side of the engine.with a small red lever....it squits out fuel for cold startups, choke button...push the key in when cranking it..  with it not running you should hear click from it...
