Boat Repair - capsized boat

Expert: Martyn Fryer - 3/8/2009

Question
turned my bass boat over today, it has a 90 horse inline 3 cyc mercury how do i know i have the motor flushed well.  any suggestions?

Answer
Hi randy

As long as the motor is able to sit upright over a period of time it should settle and work as usual but it is hard to tell how much damage is caused & what water penetration has occurred, try spraying WD40 (or similar) over, leave for a while & clean the spark plugs

Hope this helps

Thanks
Martyn
