QUESTION: Why will the boat only go in reverse no matter which way u put the throttle
?  Could it be in the hand control or is it in the lower end of the motor ?

ANSWER: first check the shift cable...  look at engine side of cable when shifting the handle..

if the pin is installed on the engine and the shift shaft is moving then it is in the lower unit.  There should be a pin connecting the cable lever to the shift shaft, it is under the bottom carb..if you need a unit let me know, they are available remanufactured with a two year warranty..
