Question
hi, i am having problems getting my outboard to even click over, there is 12volts coming from the battering onto the solenoid, and 12volts coming out, but when i turn the ignition, nothing.

any ideas?

Answer
you should have 12 volts going to the solenoid then you will have a wire at the otherside of the solenoid that goes to the starter...there is one small ground and another wire that has 12 volts to it when you crank the key...that connects the battery and the starter....
