QUESTION: i have a 1994 mercury 75, the motor trims up but want trim down. I checked the fluid its full, I also rebuild the trim motor,still didnt fix the problem. HELP Thanks

QUESTION: It makes the noise like it would move up but the motor dosent move.

ANSWER: make sure it is full of fluid...there should be a manual release valve on the side of the transom assembly. it should be a flat head screw.  relaes it and the tightren it back up...

QUESTION: IN my first statement i said that the fluid was full,Also i can losen the valve and it will go down, but thats not going to help if evertime i take off i have to go to the back of the boat to manual let it down. Thats the purpose ofhaving power trim!

if electrical is working up and down and the release valve it tight the complete trim assyu must be replaced....question again...do you hear a click when hitting the trim switch that tell you if the relays are working..if you hear the motor running in both direction then the unit is bad...
