Boat Repair/motor locked up

Question
I have a 2000 force 120hp outboard motor. I recently just had the carbs cleaned and a fuel water separtor installed. Also a new stainless steel prop and gear oil changed. This is the first time I've taken it out since last summer and the boat ran fine on land. When I took it to the water and ran the boat it wouldn't go half as fast as it use to and the motor made a clunk noise then locked up. The prop turns when in gear but the flywheel is locked up. What's the problem?

Answer
It sounds like you had some stuck rings on the pistons, which lowered comp. so it would not run..Firs pull the lower unit off and see if the flywheel turns them..if not then you need a new powerhead.  if the driveshaft on the lowerunit does not turn then the lowerunit is bad...
I have a few re-man suppliers that come with a 1 or 2 year warranty.
