Boat Repair/Electrical Power Loss

Question
I have a 2001 Stingray with a Mercruiser 5.0. I was under full power and then lost all electrical for a split second but the system regained full power without fully stalling.

I continued on and about 15 minutes later, while under full power, I lost all power to all systems including motor, bilge, radio, etc. We were dead in the water awaiting a tow and the boat inexplicably regained power to all systems. While docked, I checked the motor connections and ignition switch connections and found no loose wires.

What would cause this type of problem?

Answer
check the wiring harness at the engine...a plug in at the engine,  check the 50 amp resetable fuse on top of the engine....there are also to plugs on the boat wiring, one inm frount ant the dash and another at the stern...check them for tightness and corrosion..
