Boat Repair/ENGINE SWAP

QuestionONE OF MY ENGINES WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A MAJOR DEFECT, AND THE BOATYARD TOLD ME IT IS CHEAPEST TO REPLACE IT. CAN I SEND MY ENGINE IN SOMEWHERE TO GET A DISCOUNT/CREDIT TOWARD A NEW OR REMANUFACTURED ENGINE? WHAT IS MY CHEAPEST, MOST EFFICIENT ROUTE?
AnswerI would need all the info on your engine,s to be replaced to give you a proper quote.. Your cheapest route is to replace it with a long block. Your old engine would be a core for the replacement one..so if you have the old one you can use that as a core if not there will be a core charge..
Remanufactured engines come in a couple of forms, 1 short block,2 long block...
A short block does not come with heads. a long block does...
All bolt on items would come off of your old engine and be installed on the new one, intake, valve covers, fuel pump, alternator, starter, distributer, carb, fuel lines on the engine, etc..exhaust manifolds exhaust elbows..
If the old one failed you need to know why so that the faulty items that caused it to blow up are replaced to ensure the new one does not.
I offer a couple of different remanufactured engines, some with a one year warranty and some with a 18 month warranty,
All engines can be drop shipped to your location.
You will find that if you try to rebuild the engine you have you will spend more money in parts and labor than with a remanufactured one and have a warranty.
remanfactured engines have all new items in the block, pistons, rings, bearings seals, valves, etc. and long blocks have new valves, rockers, etc...
