Could you please assist me in being able to set the timing on my suzuki dt 85 outboard motor,this motor is an early 80's model.thank-you

with the engine cover off mocve the controls and watch for the timing plate to move, it is under the flywheel.  at idls it should abe about 1-3 degrees...in the water with the engine at wot you can check it then for wat timing,  about 15 - 18 degrees ...there should be a sticker on it to tell you the wot idle specs..
