Question
1. Did Bob have more than one marriage?

2. What was his father like?

3. How many of his childern have music careers?

4. What was his childhood like? Was he an only child?

Answer
More answers:
1) No.  Bob and Rita were married in 1966 and stayed married until Bob's death.

2) Bob's father was Captain Norval Marley, a Quartermaster with the British West Indian Regiment.  While he did marry Bob's mother, Cedella, he wasn't involved in raising Bob.  Since Norval was White and Cedella was Black, Jamaican society frowned upon their relationship.

3) I'm not sure.  I know of Ziggy, Stephen, Julian, Damien, Cedella, and Sharon.

4) Bob had a half-sister, Pearl.  He was 17 when she was born and didn't spend much time with her.  He spent most of his early childhood in the hills of Jamaica, in St. Ann's Parish.  He moved to Kingston with his mother when he was 12 years old.  They lived in the slums of Trenchtown, and Bob began hanging out with "Rude Boys", tough ghetto kids.  By the time he was 15, he had given up on school and concentrated on singing.
