Bodybuilding/Fat loss

Question
Hi Brad

It seems like only weeks ago that i asked you my first question about how to go about body building, well im back for more.

It has occured to me recently that despite my large increase in muscle mass and strength (originally bench presseing 65kg and now im benching 110kg) i have not lost the amount of weight which i wished to lose in the proccess. Im still aiming for a visible 6pack however i havnt been able to lose that last 0.5-1cm of fat above them. I was wondering what would be the best weight loss supplement i could buy, perhaps not specifically the best but the kinds of supplements i should look at.

Thanks again Brad you've been a great help.

Answer
Hello Thomas,

I am so glad that you have got great results from your program.  Nearly doubling your bench press strength is truly a feat.

When it comes to losing fat, there is no magic pill or supplement that will suddenly reveal your 6-pack abs.  It would be great though would'nt it?  We would all be walking around with ripped abs and striated glutes. However, it is simply not that easy.  You can easily lose all the fat you desire without taking a single supplement. In fact, you don't even have to workout!!!  Adding supplements and exercise into the mix simply speeds up the process.  With a well structured nutrition program keeping your body constantly in a slight caloric deficit, you will be well on your way to showing off the six pack you now have that is covered by that layer of fat.  Nutrition is the foundation, then add supplements and exercise to get that 6 pack showing sooner than later.

I can not make a recomendation as to a nutrition program as you did not give me your weight.  However a good place to start is your body weight in pounds x 10 for calories, and 1g per pound of bodyweight in protein per day every day.  Then you can add in supplements containing stimulants and caffien, CLA, and cardio vascular training into the mix to speed the process up.

For more information on how to design a sound nutrition and supplement plan Thomas, visit www.ast-ss.com and use our nutritional calculator.  Simply punch in your weight, age, activity level etc and it will give you the optimal macros for your body.

Good Luck and Happy New Year!!
