You can find a local broker in your area.  Interview a few.

or...

You can use an online place like Schwab, Fidelity, etc.

Bonds are rated by their safety, but you need to have a broker to find individual issues for you.

You can try mutual funds of bonds (research at a place like morningstar.com)

You can also buy small to large size of government bonds and fo research on the government site.
