Question
I have 3 hornbeams, and it seems every summer the leaves start turning brown on the tips, then the whole  leaf turns brown and leaves fall off...I can get 2 of the 3 to sprout again, only to have the same thing happen again...I have tried everything for changing soil, location, moisture and every year the same results....Do you have any advice or suggestions?  Thanks, chuck

Answer
Hi Chuck,

I'm not a hornbeam expert, but is it possible that it's receiving too much sun? I'm not sure where you are located, but we've had really hot days in the North East and a lot of my personal trees have burnt. Try asking Bonsai Mark and a few other folks on http://Learning2Bonsai.com You can post a question and i'm sure you'll get an answer within a few hours.
