Subject: Bonsai Rock Formation

Question
Hello Mr. Bilsborrow:
    My question is:
How do they make the imitation Ibigawa rock formations, and, can this process be done by the home hobbyists?

Thank you for your time.
Kurt Zucker

Answer
Dear Kurt anyone can create their own rock formations just go to your neatrest beach or quarry with permission of course select rocks with interesting shapes and charachter of large rocks or cliffs.Choose all the same types of rock so they all look like the rocks from a natural setting and from the same strata. Point all the rocks in the same direction and have the strata point the same way, bury most of the rock under soil to give impression of being there for a long time. But the most important thing to practice to achieve the best results is to study rock formations in their natural setting and try to copy them good luck Joe.
