Question
i've been trying to find this book for years. in the beginning a man/creature comes the the boys window and takes him away to this dark world. there is a mansion that may be alive and next to it is a frozen lake? there are illustrations thats remind me of "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark". the cover was blue with a haunting illustration on the front. any help on this would be extremely appreciated.

Actually, I found it. It is Thief of Always by Clive Barker.
