Question
Why would it be important for both sides of the story (both the American and the British) to be presented in a high school history book?

Answer
Well, for one thing, history is important -- and based upon this question, the need to know both sides is crucial when tackling this dilemma.  The Americans had their reported reasons, as did the British for what they were doing.

It almost an ethical question you ask, when y ou say both sides.  As it is in journalism, the need to know both sides of the story is very important to a reader to understand what is happening in an overall spectrum.
